Food waste is a major problem worldwide. Any food wasted is not only wasted nutrients, but also a lot of wasted water used to grow the food, usually a lot of wasted chemicals manufactured to enhance growth but destroy soil, and wasted fuel harvesting, refrigerating and transporting it, if you buy from a supermarket, or your own time, money and water, if you’ve grown it yourself.
